The true irony for me was that last year’s debacle meant that 6 cars started (and finished). This year all 22 cars started, but only 9 finished!

Nonetheless, the experience was AWESOME and I will be back next year if FOM extends the contract with IMS.

I have several video clips showing the blistering acceleration of the cars. I’ll put them up if there is interest in seeing them.

OEN MORES THINGGG!!!

January 11th, 2006

I enjoyed the rather arbitrary “x.x times faster!” As always, played to perfection :) The auto industry could learn a LOT from SJ’s RDF.

Worth noting: No 12″ or 17″ yet (reversal of the way the AluBook was intro’d). Powerbook G4 still available. I bet they’ll watch the sales differential between PPC and Intel and introduce the other two models when the public is “ready.”

My prediction: the slow firewire 800 issue from the G5 towers gets passed along (in fact I am right already…as there is NO firewire 800…not that I’d ever use it personally).

MacBook doesn’t really roll off the tounge. Has Apple forgotten that the “PowerBook” was around before the PowerPC? Perhaps just a case of “Remixing it Up.”

Still no ipod shuffle with a screen either (thank god). I know a lot of people obsess about the screen because apparently they enjoy watching their music more than listening to it. If only you could set the itunes window (on the computron) to “always on top” when in full screen mode…
